Large Outdoor Video Surveillance System

I am using 4 outdoor cameras – 2 are in my garage and the other 2 are in the garden… There are many good options out there, I recommend using Vivotek. The Vivotek line is a good quality camera at a fair price. Finding stable (http://www.deskshare.com/video-surveillance-software.aspx) is a tough job. I tried many products and selected Security Monitor Pro as the best.. Its easy to use and has useful features like camera scheduling, automatic FTP uploads of recordings, and more .

I’m a partner in a 100 unit garden apartment complex  (not in BK but topic may be relevant for others). We want to install a video surveillance system to deal with several issues. Most of the cameras will be outdoors. Not surprisingly we want a system that is effective, highly reliable, vandal-resistant, night and day and can record several days of footage for perhaps 16 cameras and will handle typical NE extremes in temperature.Finally, we would like to be able to access footage online. We would like to consult with someone highly experienced in designing and installing systems such as this to find out what system components will serve us best and possibly have the individual do the install if willing to travel about 60 miles from NYC.
