We have a 4 story townhouse with fire escape.

I 2nd FrontPoint security. My wife did a lot of research into alarm systems and FrontPoint is hands down the easiest to set up and least expensive. I get email alerts and can control everything from an iphone app.

We’ve been very happy with our wireless alarm from FrontPoint security. 4 story building but we’ve only deployed the sensors on the bottom 2 floors. No problems, and incredibly easy to set up, and the monitoring service has been very responsive.

i just put in a wireless system and the ease of set up and flexibility and potential to change or add seemed like the only option to me as we are not interested in breaking walls to do this. If changing batteries in the sensors is the only hassle once in a while and it functions well, then I think wireless is a good option.

I have a wireless system that works well over 3 floors.  The battery’s are not fun to change once a year.  If I had started out with a full reno I would have rathered to put in a wired system.
