Window replacement again

Does any one have first hand experience with getting landmark approval for windows themselves. It is for two lousy 60″ windows. These window companies want over $1000 to submit, after asking me to get the photos and fill out the forms myself. If you have done this yourself I would love to hear from you.

That’s crazy. I did it myself. As the other person said, you just need photos of the existing windows, and the window contractor should be able to provide you with DETAILED drawings of the windows that are going to be installed. (They need measurements to be sure they match the old ones). But it’s really no big deal.

It is easy to do it yourself. Just take good pictures of the current window, front façade etc. and send the detailed drawings of the new windows with the exterior moldings that you are proposing to install.
