WEIRD BANK QUESTION?

hi there. how long should it take to receive confirmation of a rate lock? more than a day? thanks

Once a loan is locked you should receive the rate lock agreement showing the expiration date, an updated Locked GFE and Truth In Lending statement. Some smaller regional banks and credit unions automatically lock upon registration of the loan. Are you going directly to a bank, a mortgage banker or a broker?

It depends on the Bank, but yes I would say at this time of the year with holidays, this year with the world cup etc., it takes a couple of days for a supervisor/officer to approve the rate lock rate.

oh yes, and i should also clarify: does a casual email count? something seems weird, but it might just be my skitterish self.
