Vendor Warning & Inquiry: A-1 American Roofing & Chimney, Inc.

Despite A-1 claiming that they completed their contracted works 3 weeks ago, Friday’s rain brought a deluge of water that flooded 3 different units in our condo and caused significant damage.  When A-1 arrived the next day (5 hours later than scheduled), the president of A-1 admitted to purposefully clogging a runoff drain to conduct a water test and never unclogging it when the test was aborted.  Since the damage was the direct result of A-1’s actions, we have asked for A-1’s insurance information (I know, we should have it already but we don’t) in order to submit a claim and A-1 has refused to provide it.  If anyone is considering using A-1, DON’T they have let their DCA license lapse since we initially conducted our due diligence on them so they shouldn’t even be conducting any business whatsoever. Also – and I know this is a long shot – if anyone has done any business with A-1 in the past and has their insurance information, it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide it. Thank you.

Just file a claim with your insurance carrier.  They will go after A-1 as the responsible party and find the insurance info themselves.
