Leak in New Construction Building

Hello – I live in a 5-year-old building in south slope. Surprise — we’ve had some persistent leaks since moving in and not much luck with the sponsor’s crew. We’d like to get another contractor to come in but it seems like roofers stay away from new constructions. Has anyone else experienced this or can anyone recommend leak experts that would help a new construction building? Premiere will not.

Thank you for the replies. Yes, one of our next steps is to hire an engineer to look at the whole building. Is that what Jack Kleinfeld is known for?

I also live in another one of these leaky, new construction buildings – we’re thinking of hiring Jack Kleinfeld (Kleinfeld Technical Services, Inc.) to do an analysis of where the leaks might be coming from. Anyone had good/bad experiences with them?

A friend of mine bought a condo in a new development in 2008\. He had leaks as well and got together with the other owners and told the developer that if he did not resolve the issue they would go to court. The developer addressed the leaks. However, more and more issues came up as time passed. The building was plagued with poor construction issues.

hey dear it is so annoyed moment that your new house is got leak with in just you entered in it.you should hire a expert of construction company this is why that they check your home properly to solved out your leakage problem.there are so many company which provide such type of service such as zippyrooter,plumping choice ,retain my are these are the company which provide leakage service at affordabe price.so you should hire one of these !don’t get sad they will solve your problem. keep smiling.:)

Most New Construction Condos come with a usually seven year “warranty” for want of the non legalize wording for structural and mechanical components in a Condo Plan. Have a look in the legalize of your condo plan from your sponsor. And call a board meeting and you will probably end up having the sponsor cough up for it one way or the other. But until you get to that point it is difficult for an outside contractor to get involved and expect to not fall into a big mess.
