Has anyone used John Roggenkamp -- roofer?

We are getting bigs for adding a layer to our flat roof, last re-covered 12 years ago. Two roofers we consulted were recommended here, the third by a neighbor.  Has anyone used John Roggenkamp? I liked that he said it wasn’t immediately necessary and we could wait and re-assess spring–makes me think he’s doing well and not desperate for business, and that he’s just plain honest.  Thanks

I used John Roggenkamp to fix a blocked roof drain in our brownstone. The drain had been blocked for several years – we had 3 foot icicles over the stoop in the winter and overflowing gutters in a downpour. We engaged a few roofers first who could not fix the issue, and some of them also suggested more expensive solutions like replacing the drain pipe. John Roggenkamp correctly identified and fixed the drain pipe blockage at a lower cost. I highly recommend him for any roof work.

I did, about ten years ago, and I am surprised his name has not come up here before. He did a small job for me, fixing some gutters and patching a roof area over an kitchen extension of a brownstone in Park Slope. I thought the job was going to be much bigger but he said no and proved me wrong! I really appreciated his straight-forward opinions. And the job he did turned out fine. Reasonably priced.
