Cost of a boiler gas valve replacement?

I have a Gas boiler that won’t fire up. I did the usual self diagnostics with the thermocouple and pilot light but I can’t get the pilot to stay on. I called a heating repair company to look at the unit and they confirmed my suspision that the honeywell gas valve needed replacement, I however balked at the $ 710 price tag. I believe the valve itself is somewhere in the $80- $160 dollar price range and conservatively should take just an hour to install. Any opinions about fair pricing on this repair? Thanks

the plumber gave you a price based on a 2 hour minimum charge…if you do not like it call another plumber…
