I think arkady is actually referring to 5th Ave Locksmith or Lock and Key on 9th st. We now bring all of our Brooklyn business to them and yes they are good. if they do not travel to your area, try Billy’s in Greenpoint. I have found him to be good as well. Krown Hardware on Broadway sells locks and has a pretty good selection but I do not think they do installs. I am pretty sure they do rekeys in their store. if you go to them for someone to do the work, please be sure that whom ever they give you is licensed as you only want someone known to the city working on your locks (to get a locksmith license, we get a full background check inc fingerprints). I think 9th St. Lock goes anywhere & they’re very good.
