Permits to complete reno after demolition...

If the tenant is rent stabilized you cannot evict them because just because they own a house or two….!.
If they are not rent stabilized and they do not have a lease, the tenant can get up to 6 months Use & Occupancy if they stay current with their payments, but no more, no matter what the excuse…
Get a landlord tenant attorney… not a closings attorney, not a “general counsel” , not the guy that takes care of your traffic tickets… only use an L&T attorney.

I have a tenant I’m trying to evict that bought a house and demolished it. The case is in housing court and I’m afraid he will tell the judge he needs more time to stay as his house is almost finished. Supposedly, he is working now on the interior. If that were the case though, wouldn’t there have been plumbing and electrical permits pulled? There are none listed on the DOB BIS system. Last one for something else was 4-5 months ago. You can’t put in bathrooms and a kitchen without them. It’s a 3 bedroom 2 story house. The house was demolished and boarded up 12/16. Shouldn’t it have been finished by now? Just trying to see what’s going on. Something doesn’t seem right. Thankful for any feedback.

probably a rent-stabilized tenant who owns another residence and so blondelle wants to evict to force tenant to live there.
