Curious what labor ran you for this? I’m finding quotes are really high for basic kitchen and baths.

I just wanted to post here on the forum to sing my praises of Chris Lombardi. My wife and I had been planning our kitchen & bathroom renovation since we bought our place nearly five years ago. We first read great reviews of Chris here on the Brownstoner forum. We’re very glad we had him do our job and we couldn’t be happier with his work and with our experience with him.

He renovated our bathroom and kitchen, added a laundry room, and reconfigured a closet area. He even (with assistance from his great electrician) properly wired the front and back parlors for chandeliers without disturbing the original ornate plaster ceiling medallions.

We noticed right away that Chris is very communicative, responsive, and easy to work with and get along with. He’s very serious about doing great work and he he cares about function and form as much as you do (if not more). He only takes on one job at a time which means he’s focused on you. He and his men showed up every day right on time (seriously!), and made sure to clean up at the end of the day. He’s well-versed in working on br ownstones and pays attention to the details. His work was outstanding, his price was fair, and he stayed on schedule. We’ll be calling on him again when it’s time for our next project…

Looks nice. I was wondering why the island top wasn’t extended 12″ to make a breakfast bar. No room?

We explored that option, but 1) the island was a bit small for that amount of overhang and 2) the dining table isn’t all that far from the island, so it would’ve been a bit redundant.
