If you’re doing a brownstone kitchen and you care about the details, I highly recommend Luis. We just finished a major kitchen renovation and he was the rare combination of deeply experienced and genuinely easy to work with; he is calm, humble, and collaborative, with zero ego.

What impressed me most is how he handled the parts that usually make kitchens go off the rails: sequencing and coordination. He managed the choreography of cabinets, countertop templating/install, plumbing, electrical and lighting without chaos, and kept things moving by coordinating subs and timing the critical steps well. He also catches problems early, spacing/clearances, alignment, outlet and lighting placement, before they turn into expensive rework.

He does everything by the book and really knows code, which mattered a lot in an old house where it’s easy for people to take shortcuts. And he doesn’t disappear at the end: he follows through on finishing and punch list items so the kitchen actually feels complete.

When surprises came up, he stayed solutions-oriented, explained options clearly, and was open to ideas. He consistently went the extra mile. If you want a contractor who’s super competent, well-connected, and truly pleasant to collaborate with, hire Luis. Happy to share photos/details via DM.
