Complete Plumbing and Electrical replacement
If you are replacing all the Plumbing & Electric it will become a complete gut.
Without knowing the current conditions, how many floors, what about heating systems etc. How many outlets/circuits, A/C etc etc..
All answers are “specific to different cases”.
Call a couple of local licensed plumbers & electricians to get the best idea of costs etc.

I know this has been asked before, but the answers were specific to different cases. I’m looking at a 2 family brownstone in Ridgewood that needs completely new plumbing (currently all galvanized and of course a lead main) and electrical (there aren’t enough circuits, no grounding on outlets, although the breaker boxes look sufficient for expansion.)
Any rough ideas on how much this would cost (and how much time I should budget?) I don’t intend on doing a full gut, but the 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms will get complete renovations.
