Chamfering poly gas pipe
I am installing a poly gas pipe from my propane tank to my house and the permasert couplings that will couple the pipe to the anodeless risers say to chamfer the outside of the pipe before inserting it into the coupling. I purchased a chamfering tool off of amazon and tried it out this evening. It does put an angle on the outer edge but its very choppy. I feel like i could have made it smoother with a pocket knife. I have never done this before so i want to make sure it is right before i put it together. Is the rough chamfer ok or should i try a different method/tool? Any other tips/suggestions are welcome!!! Thanks!

Its between 2 and 4 feet deep where mice don’t go! Gofer, mole…maybe! In my neck of the woods it is what everyone is using. Poly underground, black iron above ground.

This is why every single propane hookup I have ever seen uses copper, not poly. What happens when a mouse chews through it???
