Aquat stat settings for older hot water boiler
Thank you so much for your advice, Master Plumber! Just dialed it in now. Found an old note saying that 120 and zero/ below 100 was ideal, but that seems like a pretty low temp.
And yes, it’s a super old-school set up and has has been working great for decades heating 3 floors in a two family house. I definitely belong to the ”If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” club ?
Thanks again!

Greetings and Happy Halloween to all!
During a reno project and had a plumber tinker with my reliable hot water boiler earlier today and now my system isn’t running like before. Any advice on what the settings need to be for the two aquastats pictured here? The one on the left is the boiler aquastat and the one on the right below the temp gauge is the circulator pump aquastat.
I see a lot of things online about settings needing to be between 180-200 for the boiler, but not sure about the proper combination of settings for both the boiler and circulator pumps. Any and all advice for this newbie is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance and stay safe!

You want the boiler to run at about 180° on the high end and the circulator to come on at around 140°. That’s a very old-school setup you’ve got there.
