Cost of Architect applying for permits...

Hi there,

I am having some work done and asked my contractor to get me a quote to change two windows into doors on a brick house. I gather this involves getting an architect in and filing a permit. I just wanted to see how the quote he came back with compares to what others have paid. I’d appreciate getting a ball park for what filing the permit would cost and what you think the doors would cost if you have had similar work done.
