Changing regular window bars to safety latch bars
Yes, it’s possible. We just had this done. Peralta Metalworks did this for us, but I’m not sure they do residential. My husband happens to work with them on heavy construction jobs. Any window bar ironworkers should be able to modify them.

Hi I have safety latches on the window bars to my fire escape, (interior bars) but the remainder on the ground floor are on the outside, permanent and can’t be opened. Is it possible to have them modified so that the exterior bars have a safety latch and can swing open? If so, does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks
