Yeah I can’t help you with that. I don’t know of a steam boiler that vents out the center of the top like that which leads me to believe someone used a water boiler and converted it to steam and in the process put the low water cutoff in the wrong place and installed a too-small skim port valve where the tapping for the lwco ought to be. It’s a mess and if the people you have working on it aren’t telling you this then you need new people. I’m sorry. I wish I could help.

Wow – thank you!!!!! This is good to know and also a little discouraging and nerve-racking. We have stopped short cycling which is allowing us to breathe a little easier for now. Hoping we can maintain this until we can afford a more permanent fix/switch. Your time and attention is truly appreciated.
