Replacing HVAC system in a brownstone
Main issue is that older ductwork may be sized to work with the prior unit or unit type installed, it’s not necessarily a one-to-one change. Best bet is to have a couple HVAC subs walkthrough for general opinions and/or reach out to smaller mep engineers in the area…but the sub route is better.

We have central air/heat already installed in our brownstone (so ductwork already in place). We need to replace it soon. Wondering if anyone has recommendations of who to work with – to both advise on the most efficient new system, and to install. Thanks.
