@stickerhappy before you burn money on an attorney, please consult with what’s called a public adjuster. They work for you and are paid on contingency. Here’s some more info: https://www.bankrate.com/insurance/homeowners-insurance/hiring-a-public-adjuster/

@stickerhappy Still, I’m going to leave this with the suggestion for a public adjuster -who will work for the OP on contingency no less! Our friend recently used one with great success when the insurance company lowballed him after he had a major flood.

Please remember, though you pay the insurance company, they still are interested in settling the claim for as little money as possible. It behooves them to lowball you and they count on you to not push back. The initial amount offered especially with these old homes is often far short of what is actually needed to repair.

That is not the case, I’m willing to wager my payroll, insurance, and paperwork is much cleaner than yours and your subs. Can you post your GC registration number? I am not interested in wagering for peanuts, also not interested in giving you my information as I am happily (more or less) married.
