Name that weed?

http://cdn.brownstoner.com/4fa18e0c3129b-.jpg

Can anyone help me to identify this plant that has been coming up vigorously in my garden?  I moved a lot of things around this past fall, but I don’ recognize this one.  It is about three feet tall now, with alternate leaves and it looks like a flower head is coming up.  I’m loathe to rip it out until I’m sure of what it is. Thanks for any suggestions!

It’s a bit hard to tell, but my guess is some sort of milkweed (because of the height and the leaves.)  I would have to see the flower to be sure.  Look up Aclepias, there are 100+ different kinds.

Check out weedalogue.  They’ve taken great, and often beautiful, pictures of a bunch of weeds and weed like trees and arranged them alphabetically by common name(s) and scientific name.
