Utility Grade Hardwood Oak Floors and Instalation

Does anyone have any experience/advise on this process. Looking to replace/install 438 sq ft and we are debating if the cost savings are worth it? From everything we have read we can expect 25% of waste which translate into a more complex/longer installation process. Also if we do indeed to proceed can someone recommend a reputable floor installer that will not up-charge given our choice.
