Recommendations for a Wood Floor Contractor?

Definitely have a recommendation.  What perturbs me is that several months ago I posted a long detailed write up of my long quest for a floring guy – and now I can’t find it despite several searches here. However, I gave up on Jose and Carlos, who, as I recall, didn’t return calls.  However, I enthusiastically recommended Shalom Flooring, where Daniel was prompt, courteous, cheery, great at explaining, and did a terrific job.

Hello All.  We are looking to have someone come and do a simple buff job on old wood parquee floors.  We are not looking for a full sanding and re-coating, really just to clean them up a bit and get rid of the dullness as they are in very good condition.  I know it may be just as easy to rent the machine and do it myself, which I would love to do, but I am trying to prioritize my time and efforts as there are MANY projects!!  I know a that an experienced professinal can probably knock this out quickly.  Thanks for any advice in advance!

Also give a call to Carlos Salazar (carloswoodfloors@gmail.com) from JC Martin he’s worked on my parquet floors in my Brooklyn brownstone rental apartments and my own home in North Jersey (Bergen County).   He’s excellent and affordable.  Lastly, he’s the only wood floor refinisher that I know of that advertises the actual “brand” of finish he uses on the floors, it’s called Bona Traffic®.  Other wood floor companies prior to Carlos whom I’ve inquired about the products they use were not forthcoming.
