HELP! Floor Reconstruction Needed After Plumber Hack(saw) Job

Help!  My wife is distraught at the prospect of losing our bedroom floor, which was unnecessarily chopped up by a plumber in his quest for an expedient solution to a simple problem.  Plmbing is done, now we need to close the floor.  The plumber saved some of the detail border work but cut trhough some parquet panels.  Is there anyone out there who comes highly recommended for fixing this type of mess?  Someone who can put the pieces together, cut new color-matched pieces, and **make it look good when it’s all back together**? All answers will be seriously considered.

Parklife, My name is Tomasz .I am National Wood Flooring Association Certified Installer. I make wood flooring patterns on my shop in Brooklyn. i can match that herringbone squares and border, install them and sand&finish. It is important to check : -for proper cut of flooring -plain sawn or rift or quarter sawn.  – species – it looks like oak but can be White oak or Red oak – new floor will need to be stain to match color of existing flooring to new flooring  I can not see on the picture what is the width,  length and thickness of single flooring strips from pattern. You migh have bigger issue. Check if he did not join copper fitting directly with black pipe. Joint must be done with brass fitting, otherwise there wil be electrochemical corrosion at the joint.

That looks like quarter-sawn wood so you won’t find ready-made parquet.  I’m told that this guy is terrific although I have not used him yet. Jose – 917-355-7977

Gosh, couldn’t they have done the plumbing from the ceiling below? It’s much easier to repair a plaster ceiling than a fancy parquet wood floor.

Ouch!  You can get matching parquet panels at any flooring store.  Glad the plumber saved the other pieces.
