Repair of small chip on Silestone countertop?
Thanks for responding! I love it: jobs too small. Great customer service. I’d forget him when when I had a big job!p. I now know mine would be way too small…it’s about the size of a sesame seed!

My husband dropped a glass that hit the edge of our Silestone countertop, just on the rim of the under-mount sink. Any recommendation for someone who can repair it for us? Pic attached (3 views for reference)

There are many videos that you can find on youtube about repairing countertops, ceramic, etc. There are ceramic filler kits sold at home center stores. I just heard about using nail polish for small chips or cracks in floor tiles. An edge issue like you have will be a bit more difficult than a chip in the “field” but I bet, with perseverance, it can be accomplished.

Thanks, DIBS – but we’d really like to have it properly repaired. I don’t want to risk making it worse by trying a DIY solution. It’s not ceramic – it’s Silestone (Quartz). I’ve read there’s a special epoxy that’s used for these kinds of repairs. I suppose I could just call SilestoneUSA and see if they can refer me to someone local to come by to look at it and provide an estimate, but I thought someone here might have some experience with this since Silestone and other Quartz countertops aren’t that rare these days.

Sorry, barbaradarlin, we never did find anyone to repair it. I got a few licensed dealers from Silestone USA, but only one of them called me back and he said it was too small a job and he wasn’t interested. We’re just going to wait it out until we’re ready to start our bathroom reno soon and talk to our contractor about it then.
