Granite Recommendation

We used the same place (but went to their Ridgefield Park location) when we renovated our previous apartment in Upper Manhattan, and they did a spectacular job. We had somewhat odd walls to work around, and the finished, set in granite couldn’t have been smoother or more high-end in appearance. We won’t hesitate to use them in our home when we are ready to select the stone for our new kitchen and bathrooms.

We just had a granite counter top installed in our kitchen and wanted to share our positive experience.  After looking at various granite suppliers in brooklyn, we were not satisfied with the selection.  We went with All Granite (mentioned on this site).  They have four or five locations and the closest one to us was South Plainfield New Jersey (about 30-40 minutes away).  They had hundreds and hundreds of different slabs of all varieties and next to each slab was a sample to take.  I brought the dimensions and they gave me a quote on the spot, that gave me an estimate for four different grades (they carry about 7 grades).  Their prices were very reasonable (for granite). They pointed the way to the warehouse and let us take as much time and samples that we wanted.  We returned on several days and made our selection.  They came to our home the next day to take a template. Their estimate was within $200 of the estimate (I changed the edging and added a small shelf). Less than a week after the measurements were taken the granite was installed.  It came with a free sink but we opted for a heavier grade and purchased one.  The next day we noticed a couple of very slight imperfections and a rough spot on a small portion of the edging.  After calling and sending them a photo via email they set up a time to come back within two days of installation.  They resolved the issues without any hesitation and made sure we were very happy before they left.  Overall, we would highly recommend them.
