Water seeping into basement

I had a similar issue, i had my contractor dug out  the rear foundation wall area located in the backyard,and discovered that the sources to the leak and he used flashing with a membrane to seal and waterproof the leaks. Long time listener, first time caller.  We have renovated our basement (partially above grade).  Before we renovated, some water had been seeping in the back wall – never to the point where there was water in the basement, but there was some water damage to the back wall.  We thought the problem was fixed, but we now have what appears to be water damage to the side wall (our house is attached on both sides).  The new paint/dry wall is cracking/peeling in some spots along the upper/mid parts of the wall.  We’d like to hire someone who would be able to figure out how and why the water is entering the house but don’t quite know who that would be.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
