Looking for Architect to do pre-sale walk through in Greenpoint

Hi,  We’re currently in negotiations to buy a small wood frame house in Greenpoint. Like most houses here it is a railroad layout. We need to make it a 3BR house and are having a hard time visualizing the space. We are sure we can fit 3BRs somehow but we also need to enlarge bathrooms so we are hoping to bring an architect to the house before we finalize the deal. We are going to need to do the renovations on a shoe-string budget so we need someone who can keep that in mind when making recommendations.  We would love to work with someone locally so please let me know if you can recommend anyone. Also, what is the cost for such a thing? Do they charge for their time and proposal?  Thank you.
