Alarm for fire escape

Anybody has an idea about how to put an alarm on fire escapes? Something not hurrendously expensive, and not related to off-site monitoring. Basically just a very loud noise or so. This is about burglars coming in by means of the fire escapes. Thanks.

[Fire alarms](http://www.pre.se/skyltar-brandskydd-s%C3%A4kerhet-ombudsm%C3%A4rken) are very useful in fire emergency. These alarms are activated by the smoke and heat detectors and give a pre-intimation about fire.
