ADT butchered my wall and baseboard!!!!

I just paid $1400 to have ADT install a security system in my newly purchased home. Not only did this tech randomly drill holes in the wall until the drill bit passed through to run wires to a power outlet, the baseboard was pried off the wall and cracked in half to gain access to the wires! The wire hole position was drilled in the middle of the baseboard, but not through the baseboard, leaving excess wire behind the now detached baseboard; I can’t even put the baseboard flush against the wall! ADT quoted me $850, FREE equipment and a credit for the $99 installation fee. I knew there was a catch because I had gotten other quotes, but an extra $1400 later, I was shocked. A shame. I guess it’s too late now, but Alarms R Us in Brooklyn is a fantastic alarm company and they installed everything very nicely and neatly in our place. They are honest and very reasonably priced.

They really should have told you that there would be repairs after they installed. Many of these companies are heavy handed. Busting your baseboard could have been avoided. Did they compensate you for repairs?
