General Contractors

The brickwork I hired them to do on the facade of my home – which they subbed out – was done so poorly that I am having it torn out and redone. I was unhappy immediately but Nick said the colors would blend in and change to match the existing bricks. I waited 3 years. Total lie!! Beware!!

We needed a contractor to scrape and paint our fire escape. We also wanted the wrought iron door, fence, and balconettes painted and scraped. After obtaining three quotes and following up on references, we hired High Tech Construction. (High Tech has done alot of work on Carroll Street and recived high marks from former customers.) The price was fair, the quality work done neatly and on schedule, and the clean-up 100%. When scraping the fire escape, the workers found several stairs in need of repair and brought in a welder to do the repair. This was not anticipated, but was included in the cost of the job. The job was completed in three days. Drop cloths were used, so no errant drips of paint anywhere, and the workers very friendly and efficient. I will use this company again in the future and highly recommend them.

Martin Barazorda, from Inti Interior Finish, came highly recommended to us when our contractor disappeared before our renovation was done. Martin was such a breath of fresh air. He is very skilled and knowledgeable, and he is a lovely person to interact with. He is reliable, professional, efficient, fair, and smart. He takes great pride in his work and it shows. We continue to get compliments on the work he did in our space.

Carlos Salazar, of Inti Interior Finish, refinished our wood floors and did a beautiful job. He did repairs in a few places on the floor and repaired some wooden stairs as well. The repaired sections blended in beautifully with the rest of the floor.

Our experience with Inti Interior Finish was wonderful. We have already recommended them and will continue to do so.

After much searching, we hired Martin for a renovation of our apartment. The place had been gut-renovated a few years back, but we wanted to make some non-structural changes. Martin was fantastic and I highly recommend him.

His work included replacing carpeting with BEAUTIFUL hardwood floors that he custom stained; removing crown molding (the job entailed an extension of the ceiling to cover the gap where the molding was, and Martin executed this perfectly); relocating ceiling light fixtures; revealing and refinishing original structural beams; installing ceiling fans; wiring for new kitchen cabinet and island lighting, removing and seamlessly covering unwanted electrical outlets; replacing showerheads; installing a chandelier and hanging light fixtures (perfectly aligned), and a host of other projects.

Martin did his work with a professionalism and care that is rarely found in this industry. He has a great eye for detail (one more than one occasion, he provided very helpful design input), takes pride in his work, and kept the apartment very clean. On top of all this, he is an extraordinarily nice person who is warm, friendly, and easy to work with. Finally, his rates are very reasonable (believe me, we received quotes from a number of people). Never once did we feel like we were being overcharged — not even close.

His number is 347-234-3597. His website (the pictures are good but his work is even more beautiful in person) is

I would like to recommend Carlos Ramos for the work he did for me (gut renovation of a bathroom in Yonkers, NY), I hired him based on references from Brownstoner/Brooklyn, and I originally found his name here.
I’m especially happy with the flawless marble work. He patiently and competently satisfied the endless details of my wife. He was always glad to talk to my neighbors about their dust and noise complaints. He was careful about cleanliness, and always left the stairs and corridors spotless.
The job was finished on schedule. Overall, the bathroom looks as a 5 star hotel, I’d be glad to send before and after pictures to anyone interested (write to:

Hi, I have a job in westchester county. I am an nyc licensed and insured contractor, looking to partner with a contractor licensed in westchester who can file for the job. Let me a note if anyone is interested

I am a licensed, insured General Contractor and I have a perspective client that wants to pay my company to pull a OT permit for a very small restaurant renovation. They want to have their guys do the work. Does anyone know if there are any legal ramifications for doing this? Any idea of what to charge? Thanks in advance
