After we broke the news yesterday of Whole Foods’ decision to go ahead with plans to build on a contaminated lot in Gowanus, Crain’s followed up half an hour later with a story of its own. And while neglecting to give our post a hat-tip, the business paper did come up with some interesting original content: This rendering. Neato.

“Simple question: what would you rather see happen on this site?”
Walmart.
YES!!!
DIBS;
Yes, “As the World Turns” was discontinued, much to my sister’s regret. She was the chief hair stylist for that show (and won 5 daytime Emmys for her work in that position). Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled programming!
Public esplanade on the gowANUS? what’s next, scuba diving in newtown creek?

Walmart.
I think “As the World Turns” was discontinued.
No biggie, it’s our right to take a little jab at MSM and Clyde’s and ENY’s right to think it’s small-minded. Either way, the world will continue to turn and Gowanus will get a Whole Foods.

Agree with ENY – the whining makes you look small.
And your 4 or 5 posts about it don’t make you look like a whiner????? Why don’t you add something to the discussion about Whole Foods or Gowanus??
The story yesterday was based on an email from Whole Foods to to CB6. We all know how easy it is to forward an email. What makes you think you’re the original source entitled to a courtesy rather than considering the possibility that the email made its way to a bunch of reporters via another route?
