Will pockets of Washington Avenue soon be seeing new life? It appears so. We reported that The Way Station was opening soon, and Grub Street checked it out this week and confirmed. Then, a sign appeared at 687 Washington Avenue saying a West Indian restaurant is coming soon. (There’s also an in-progress restaurant at 669 Washington.) “i would GLADLY swap out one of the gazillion bagel places in my neighborhood right now for a crown fried!!!”
What a re-re.
I’ll take the new West Indian place over The Islands anyday, as I prefer to get my order sooner than 5 hours after I’ve ordered it.
The new West Indian place is going to have a tough time getting to leave The Islands, but I wish it luck.
….The bagel place has been coming forever, but I am among the people who the construction guys told “its gonna be a bagel shop”
Wait, what happened to Rawstar?
