look. 1.) im actually getting really tired of getting triple trounced and dog piled by the same group of people when i make my opinion about something.
2.) and then being told my opinion is “non sense” um no, it’s NOT. i’ve seen first hand for many many years what i say. it’s absolutely rude to constantly belittle other peoples comments and opinions and life experience on issues just because you think you know better.
3.) goodbye! im blogaciding. ive actually had enough of the constant holier than thou attitude and the opinion that certain peoples opinions will just never count.

Legion,
this is 2010 and the ‘young adults’
are 32 and 27. and the $2000 includes
office space. I think you must be
older than I thought if you think
that is so much money in this day
and that they are that ‘young’.
rob- I am guessing you don’t see the inherent conflict in your own argument? Of course people who are in the art world come from money except those who don’t? YOu don’t have to hate on yourself but just stop making broad generalizations that not even you can claim are true.
“When I bring something home that’s new, or if I’m not sure where it came from, I find it loud, distracting,†Mr. Highsmith said.
Heavens, the bag of frozen peas from trader joe’s must be terrifying.
Note:
never underestimate the power of vapidity,
particularly in politics;
See my pending rant on Pelosi
as soon as I can get over to the OT. 😉
i told you the outliers would come out in full force. if you truly believe that most people in the art world do NOT come from money, then you are deluded. of course there are going to be people who dont. whatever i dont want to get into class issues today because i dont feel like hating on myself.

legion- since they work out of their home, that eliminates overhead that they would have for another space. And 2000$ is not an unheard of rent these days for a neighborhood like Cobble Hill. I would certainly love to see lower rents but I don’t think that will be happening anytime soon.
dave- are you alluding to the soaring intellectual discussions we engage in that go over your head? 😉
pete,
forgive me, but if you think $2000 isn’t a high rent for two young adults starting their own business,
then I don’t know.
