These the Slope's Best Chow Options?
The Voice’s Fork in the Road blog came up with a ranking of the 10 best Park Slope restaurants, bestowing top honors on Al Di La. Probably not a controversial choice, though some of the others may strike some as questionable: 2. Stone Park Cafe; 3. Convivium Osteria; 4. Taro Sushi; 5. Tacos Nuevo Mexico;…
Tacos Nuevo Mexico; 6. Chiles and Chocolate; 7. Cafe Steinhof; 8. ZuZu Ramen; 9. Applewood; and 10. Beer Table. There were also a lot of restaurants mentioned as runners up, including relatively new places like Bark Hot Dogs and Get Fresh. There were a couple omissions we noticed that we’d have bet on at least making the runners up list, including Moim and Alchemy. What say you about the ranking?
Our Ten Best Park Slope Restaurants [Fork in the Road]
It’s empanandas not empenadas! CHRIST!
FSRG:
No offense, but Flipsters would be on my top 10 WORST restaurants in Park Slope. That place is god awful. The burger is better at Lot 2, Melt, Bonnie’s, Alchemy and even Five Guys and Bark have better burgers than Flipsters. That place is a joke.
good call, 11217. Prospect Heights’ list would include James, Franny’s as well as Amorina, Aliseo Osteria del borgo…

Please do not try to put Franny’s and James into the Park Slope mix. Prospect Heights is its own neighborhood. I’m sure you people get annoyed when brokers refer to parts of Prospect Heights as Park Slope. Well you can’t have it both ways. Other side of Flatbush isn’t yours!
im sorry, but hahahahahha

No love for Song on 5th Ave & 1st street? Best Thai in the hood!

Ken – my favorites…
Chimichurra skirt steak
Coconut rice
Bacolou/Guava empenadas
Frozen guava margaritas (chunks of guava, WHAT!)
Tropical salsa
Attention to detail. Consistent everytime.

A couple thoughts:
There is one GLARING omission:
Lot 2 (it’s one of the top 3 restaurants in the Slope, in my opinion)

I also think Bogota should be on that list. And Get Fresh Table and Market should have been in the Top 10, not a runner up.
Surprised Rosewater is not on the list. Also think Alchemy should get a runner up nod.
Whoever said Song should be on that list is very wrong, in my personal opinion. It’s completely inauthentic and not even the best Thai food in Park Slope. Mee Thai is absolutely the best Thai in Park Slope with Mango not far behind. Song has gone WAY downhill in the past year or two.
I don’t agree about Miriam…I think it’s pretty mediocre.
James and Franny’s should be on their own terrific list for Prospect Heights.
Shoots and Leaves, haven’t you realized yet that all of Brooklyn is now technically Park Slope? We’ve done away with all of the other neighbourhoods and are left with East, West, North, South and Central Slope.
BHO, Bogota Rules!!! Snappy, Cgar and myself have dinners there quite often.
