Streetlevel: Yummy Taco Opens in South Slope
A reader wrote in to inform us that she returned from vacation last week to find that, while she was gone, the Chinese restaurant at 1106 8th Avenue at 11th Street in the South Slope transformed into something called Yummy Taco! Does anyone know if this is straight-up Mexican or one of the Mexican-Chinese hybrids…

I’ve never had haggis and I’m 50% Scottish. I love tripe though…get it mostly in Italian places as a tripe stew…even better with parmigiana on it. MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm
what is haggis?
omg. GUH-ROSS!
*rob*
If you look at the picture above it reads “New Yummy Taco Sister’s”
Rob, Do you have to be Scottish to make a good Haggis?
GROSS GROSS so sorry go into the one on Bergen and Faltbush you’ll want to puke.
Chino-Latino restaurants based on types of places in Cuba used to be very trendy in the 80’s. Don’t see many of those around anymore?
“Mexican-Chinese hybrids”
Ha ha!

That’s what you get for ordering a veggie burrito. So wrong. 🙂
Best Mexican definitely in Sunset Park, but Tacos Nuevo Mexico is a good alternative (probably the only one) in South Slope.
