Prospect Heights Dunkin Donuts Seized
The Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins on the corner of St. Marks and Flatbush has been seized, emptied, and locked up. The reason was unclear from the notice posted on the door, did anyone know of any trouble already brewing there? GMAP

North Flatbush doens’t exist except for the BID. Brooklyn Larder is in Park Slope and Franny’s is in Prospect Heights. Flatbush Avenue is the dividing line between the two neighborhoods.
Too bad about DD…it replaced a should have been better chacueterie and now Brooklyn Larder has that market.
Are they still serving donuts made with partially hydrogenated oil? That’s illegal in New York City.
Dunkin Donuts taste like cardboard. I have to try Peter Pan.

For example, candy companies will no longer be allowed to tell you that a Snickers bar is 3 servings, as they currently do. I mean, puh-lease.
as if ANYONE who eats a snickers bar cares or even looks at how many servings their are. :-/
*rob*
I can’t believe anyone would be sorry to see a Dunkin Donuts go… that shit leaves a chemical taste in my mouth when I have the misfortune to eat one.
Maybe the Trademark Police took them over for their unauthorized use of Spongebob Squarepants’ image? Although, from the looks of the artistry, they might be able to claim that this guy is actually Spongejim Rhombuspants.
“Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip is amazing.”
DITTO!
With a scoop of chocolate, please.
I think it’s great that junk-food joints are required to disclose the cheap, craptastic, fake ingredients in their “food.” You wanna eat that, go for it. Now you can make an informed decision. One of many great things about the new administration is that nutrition labeling requirements are about to get even better. For example, candy companies will no longer be allowed to tell you that a Snickers bar is 3 servings, as they currently do. I mean, puh-lease.
Hopefully this place will reopen soon—apparently a lot of you folks go there, and it provides jobs. But personally, I think their coffee is terrible—weak and acrid. Whichever marketing person got the world talking about Dunkin and Starbucks as if their coffees are comparable is a freaking genius.
Nothing worse than a blog Nazi. . . . . . . . .
I like DD cream-filleds. And this place is the Slope, not Prospect Hts. It certainly was a busy place – often sold out of doughnuts by noon. I’d guess mismanagement.
