A reader sent in a note to say that a large sign has gone up on the old La Bagel Delight space on the corner of 7th Avenue and 5th Street advertising a place that will sell fancy chicken and bread, opining that it “sounds like something Park Slope actually needs. Very nice to see that large storefront not taken over by a bank or real estate agency.” Agree? GMAP

  1. This guy owns a place in Bay ridge on 69th st and 4th ave called Yiannis and is not busy at all. He is so obnoxious and stuck up. We went there a couple times and it does not change, he thinks he is on Madison Ave. Artisan Breads??? He gets the mix and adds water. Is this what artisan bread has turned out to be these days?? Please!! Welcome to my neighborhood buddy!

  2. I love Terrace, esp. when the firemen or cops are all in there ragging on each other while we wait on line. Bagels good too, esp. the Everything, and now they have “mini’s” (which are smallish normals, if you ask me, not the head-sized ones that now pass for normal).

Frankly, I also like LaBagel Delite, esp. the teamwork from the counter guys.
