most of those places are pretty lame.
I wouldnt get to uppity about that list
I live in P.S. and frankly I think it sucks – 95% of the women are ugly, wear horrible clothes and/or are lesbians; there is too much crime, dirt and graffiti here in (lower) slope. The trains (R, M & F) are ridiculously slow and the stores are generally these granola B.S. lifestyle stores with nothing ‘real’ for sale – except for the clothes stores which sell the heretofore mentioned ugly clothes.
The restaurants are good and the housing stock is nice however.
but people dont hate brooklyn heights and its prettier.
oh wait people do hate brooklyn heights

where is the 10 ten list at?
i’ll agree that austin is nice, but there is no way on god’s green earth that i would ever live in texas.
it’s really too bad.
for now, yes…park slope will have to do.
i liken park slope to a runway model at mercedes benz fashion week:
people like to hate pretty things
Essentially people are projecting and simply hate themselves. That’s why you find so many snarky cynical haters on forums such as Brownstoner.
i have lived in two of the neighborhoods on the top 10. park slope and west austin. i hate to break it to my current neighbors, but park slope can’t hold a candle to austin or to its bbq. but since they aren’t moving wall st. to texas, i will reluctantly stay in park slope… this bbq better not suck. can’t stand that pig place on 5th.
tell me more about this place park slope you all speak of?
it sounds lovely.
