Still No Takers For Big Green Space on Baltic
It ain’t easy being green. When we last heard from the Green Giant of Baltic Street back in September, the newly constructed commercial space was still sitting empty. It ain’t easy being green. When we last heard from the Green Giant of Baltic Street back in September, the newly constructed commercial space was still sitting empty. Yesterday Lost City checked in with the wallflower and, sure enough, it’s still available. The blog takes issue with some of the marketing verbiage though. Rather than calling it “the most architecturally alluring storefront in Cobble Hill,” as the listing from Vespa Reality does, the blog suggests a rewrite: “I’ll give them this: It’s the most architecturally singular storefront in the neighborhood.” The blog also offers up a couple of more reasons why the space hasn’t found a taker yet: “It must be a bitch to heat in the winter and probably becomes a sauna in the summer. Not to mention the window-washing bills.”

then do not respond to me if you dont agree with me! it boggles MY mind that you cannot grasp that some people do not like nature and prefer synthetic things!!! you are so closed-minded it’s not even funny.

Rob,
It’s not about Chardonnay or brussel sprouts.
You hate freakin’ Prospect Park! Never in my life have I heard someone say they hate a place filled with trees and grass.
Cobble is right that I should be more accepting of others, but your comments 90% of the time are 1. Stupid or 2. For attention only.
Neither of which get my vote.
“But they exist on our planet so we have to accept them to some degree. There are a lot of lovely people that have never left the block they live on, too. They just don’t usually turn out to be very interesting.”
You’re right Cobble. And I’ve really tried many times to find common ground with him, but then he’ll say some asinine thing about a blond wig or something and it just throws the whole thread off. And then he has the nerve to say that I bring everything back to Park Slope (which I really don’t think I do). I do sometimes relate things to my experiences, many of which happen to revolve around my neighborhood.
Most of his comments revolve around himself. Or about hating someone or something else.
Anyway, I just want to be able to comment without him attacking me constantly. It’s SO tired. Anyone who thinks that being cultured is a bad thing isn’t really worth my time.
OK dave- i think the green storefront is fucking retarded. the only thing that makes sense in there is an art gallery or a garden store. and even those two scenarios make little to no sense.
happy?

‘scuse me.. i am very curious about the world. the world of science, technology, architecture, real estate, psychology, etc etc etc. not everyone has the same tastes in interest! so shoot me if i have no desire to go to every single new place that opens up for a glass of chardonnay and a brussel sprout!

(And, cobble, a little forgiveness in the New Year? You can go back to being mad at *rob* at this year’s holiday gathering at Jingle Bell.)
Not while you’re ignoring me in the OT, we’re not, bxgrl.

Hmmm, Well, I wouldn’t say he’s more loved than you, we just happen to have actually met him. And so we take a slightly more personal interest in him.
I agree, I don’t much care for “people who lack curiosity about the world, their surroundings or pretty much anything else for that matter”, either. But they exist on our planet so we have to accept them to some degree. There are a lot of lovely people that have never left the block they live on, too. They just don’t usually turn out to be very interesting.

Speaking of which, *rob*, go back to the F Line Bagels thread, please. I really don’t think it was copyright infringment. ^^^^
