As noted by Brooklyn Heights Blog, one of the Calexico Carne Asada carts is now stationed in Brooklyn Bridge Park, a few steps behind the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. The cart menu is missing the tortas and salads that you can grab at their Union Street restaurant, but they’ve got a full line-up of burritos, tacos, and rolled quesadillas, served with their signature “crack” sauce. According to Calexico’s twitter (which also lists daily specials), “We will be open in the park 7 days a week. Sunday through Wednesday 11:30-4 & Thursday through Saturday 11:30-9.” GMAP

Certain people will be upset by this.
looks like the truck moved to Wooster and Prince…from the twitter link.
Excellent! DH is right, go early unless you want to be stuck in a poorly-organized line of too-cool-for-school hipsters. The food is great.
“okay im actually going to try the one in soho today for lunch.”

crack sauce is soooo good.
If NYC food carts were unsafe, they wouldn’t last. Hell, I eat at street carts in bangkok in 100 degree weather.
