Actually if you guys read the New York Post today there is a story of Prostitutes and Pimps moving back to Hells Kitchen again. The Yuppies are at war there aswell.

The hotel was a small fraction of the prostition. Most of the tricks are done in cars, with the ‘evidence’ tossed out the window onto the sidewalks.
Downing, Irving, Lexington and Quincy sts are disgusting… Used condoms are more common than dog shit around there.

Agreed. But tell us, why don’t the children of Bed Stuy, Brownsville and East New York deserve a drug and crime free environment? Why are you content to send the drug dealers, prostitutes and mass murders to live in someone else’s neighborhood?

I’ve lived in the area for over 10 years and there’s been numerous murders/suicides at the hotel during this period. In addition, drugs and prostitution conflicts are often settled through violence (at times gun violence). The hotel not only attracts a criminal element to the area but the real threat of physical violence puts the entire community at risk.
The children of Lefferts Place deserve to live in a drug and crime free environment. It is quite obvious that their parents strongly believe the same and have taken appropriate action.
Click on the link below and tell me that these innocent children do not deserve a fair shot. I have compassion for those less fortunate who felt that drug and prostitution were their only option. But hopefully the closing of the hotel will prevent some of these children from falling into the same pitfall.
