My godson is 22 and he had a case of shingles last year. He recovered quickly due to his age, but he definately had them. Also my brother who is 56. It is terrible for the elderly, completely disabling. This person is my mother who is the polar opposite of a whiner. She is not whining now but at the early stages was in constant excrutiating pain; her reaction to pain medication put her in the hospital. I feel so sorry for her.
