Oh, I see what you mean THL. Yes, I hate paying the deposit. And the minute you mix trash with recyclables the sanitation dept gives you a freakin ticket!
the only places tho that really incorporate the bottle deposit tho in nyc are supermarkets though. bodegas and fauxdegas usually just charge an exact amount like 2 or 250 or 3.
If you think about it, 17 sets makes perfect sense…4 sets of white, 4 sets of chocolate brown, etc….in my varying color coordinations. Changing sheets every three days equals the use of about 10 sets per month. I only send out my laundry once a month so every set is crucial! There are sheets I prefer when I’m sick, and of course sheets for those other issues that come up! A girl needs choices dammit!
“you only take them back to the store if you want your deposit back on each bottle you bought.”
That’s what I mean Snappy. Why should you have to do that now that they recycle via the sanitation dept. The deposit law was enacted before they had curbside recycling. They should eliminate it. People are getting their pockets slowly picked by that.
BRG, I’m a solid girl too…I have cheap, printed sheets though for company! My parents always complain when they visit about sleeping on poly-cotton blends and fewer than 400TC! I refuse to waste my good sheets on family! (Mean, I know!)

I’ve never brough cans or bottles back to a store. Don’t care about the 5 cents because I don’t buy a lot of cans and bottles. Wine bottles, yes.
there is nothing smellier than a vegan fart. seriously.

“Denton, have you tried the V Spot on 5th? It’s all vegan and very good.”

THL, we do have to recycle via the sanitation dept….you only take them back to the store if you want your deposit back on each bottle you bought.
