  1. Hey DIBS, the 3.0CS is certainly one of the most beautiful cars ever, and the regular street versions (not the CSL) are very reasonably priced, even restored concours models I think are under 40k.

There’s a giy in the Gowanus has a baby blue one he parks in front if the Mill condo… I drool every time I see it.

In fact there’s a lovely one on ebay right now for a buy it now of 20k.

In that case, I will bide my time and buy something nice around the same time as I get a house!

  3. chicken…there’s been a real bubble in collector car prices. I don’t know if its bursting yet but there are still a lot of barrett-Jackson auctions with stuff selling at truly ridiculous prices. I get the feeling that a lot of the buyers are people that would never put their money in the stock market and believe that these prices will hold up forever. I can understand a Duesenberg going for a million dollars but not some exotic one-off 60s car!!!!

  4. Luckily for midtown you can still netflix “holiday” and “my man godfrey” to see old new york glory. We’re thinking about re-doing the surrounds in our fireplaces, I think a trip to Newport and the Breakers may be prudent.
