Cobble, I have a couple of bizarre medical issues (like hypoglycemia) that go away when I eliminate refined carbs. I like eating that way. But it’s sooooooooo hard because of restaurants. I am waiting for the day when it becomes normal for a restaurant to serve a protein, a green veg, and a reasonably healthy starch such as lentils.

I saw on the food network that there’s a huge resurgence in the sale of pork rinds because they are all protein. no carbs.

My cholesterol number is high (200 =/-) BUT my HDL is so high that my MD says I have a “negative” risk for heart disease due to cholesterol.
