  1. Dumb down your resumes if you have to. It’s all in the wording. Re-word things so you appear less qualified.
Cobble had some good ones for you Snappy.

Snappy, I’m coming over friday night for your lasagna.
Last night hubby made pasta with broccoli rabe….yummy, considering he makes his own sauce and adds OLIVES to it.

  2. LOL Dave!

Rob, the only downside to that is that if you tout experience you don’t have that is on a higher level, you will eventually get busted once you get a higher level job and they find you can’t actually do it.

  3. I can see it now, Heather. I’ve got no kids, but I could say:

“I’m looking for something to do while my cat snoozes all day. Yeah, she used to play with me, but she’s lost her daytime friskyness and I really need to occupy myself.” LOL!

Seriously though, I think I might try the whole “I’m looking to start a new career…” line.

  4. to the people that are saying to lie, what’s your opinion about lying about past experience to get a much HIGHER level job than you should be allowed based on experience? im just throwing it out there…

    *rob*

  5. MM- if you are looking for a production manager position at an apparel company, you should check out jobs on the Gap Inc. website. The SF production office just closed and moved 17 jobs to NYC, and none of the SF people wanted to move here.

There are positions in all kinds of product categories at both Gap and BR.
