HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! my nicknack in grammer school from 6th – 8th grade was Jellyass! in high school it was just Jelly for the first year. thank god that didnt stick 1.) cuz of my last name (it’s Dunkin like donuts) and 2.) cuz i literally fell down a flight of stairs in 6th grade in front of everyone on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. but the main reason is # 3 – girls that age are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO mean!!!! especially to gay kids hahahah
Our neighbors in the country had a cat named Marmalade. Everyday it would walk down to the center of the village and sit on the counter of the general store. Unfortunately it was hit by a car a few years ago. No one here could have ever imagined that I could tie marmalade and canning to cats.
Jams, jellies and preserves were a big thing in my house. My mom is a little fanatical about them. I LOVE orange marmalade. Also love sour cherry jam (don’t care for regular, sweet cherry), apricot, plum, boysenberry, gooseberry, quince, blackberry (seedless), raspberry (seedless) and good old fashioned apple butter (Musselman’s). I don’t care for strawberry, grape, or peach too much.
I thought the earlier comics were much funnier than the more recent ones. The way the Winslow family interracted with their lovable and unique Great Dane was really fun to observe.
Sorry, did you ask to discuss Marmalade or Marmaduke?? I’m confused.
“Calamondin, a native citrus plant in the Philippines and China, is cultivated in Southeast Asia and elsewhere as an important crop. In the U.S. and Europe, it is grown mainly as an outstanding ornamental.”
I’ve had a few “outstanding ornamentals” over the years. Or was that orientals?
My partner does canning…dilly beans, peaches, chutney, ciopollini onions, bread & butter pickles, all sorts of things of which I grow the wax beans, cukes and the onions myself. And you all thought I was just some asshat in the ghetto.

On Orange Marmalade: Did you all know that marmalade doesn’t have to be bitter, and can be quite sweet? Calumondin oranges make a lovely marmalade!
[How’s that?]
