  1. m4l,
    dittoburg has the right idea,
    What’s the next “it” neighborhood?
Bushwick is still reasonable and there’s a burgeoning
    scene happening there.
    Bushwick Arts festival coming soon.

  2. “Just saying “I support gay marriage” does nothing. Of course that doesn’t stop people from saying it and acting like they’re freedom riders.”

I totally disagree. Lots of people saying it — to family members, at work, to friends, online, etc. — have been part of what changed the culture. One step in the cultural change has been among those who are sympathetic but reticent do to feared political backlash. Some of them have needed to be pushed to “grow a pair” as you put it, and some have needed to hear just how many people support or are comfortable with it to get over the backlash fear. Others who are uncomfortable with the idea socially or culturally have been moved by hearing from others who support. This is definitely a case where talking about it mattered. I know I have talked to family members about good friends of ours and how the inability to be legally married has complicated their family life. Conversations like that are happening all over and it does make a difference.

  3. “Of course if you want the top elementary school in BK you’d have to move to Greenpoint… ”

yeah – wtf is up with that? i was under the assumption the only school worth creaming one’s pants over in BK was PS321.

Park Slope is so overhyped in all aspects.

Wife only has eyes for BoCoCa + BK Heights (would settle for ft greene). prices are whack and still raising. hence no buying.

That’s what you get for marrying above your own lot in life.

  5. Don’t know CGar. he asked me what browser I’m using (Microsoft Internet Explorer) but I have no idea what Version.

The site still needs a lot of work in the area of managing the comments…no counter, no time stamp, the Reply function is a mess with the trailing off of comments like that

He really needs to fire his web developers.
