  1. Just like Clinton can’t take credit for the economy in the 90s. The economy would have done all that no matter who was president.

    The american habit of acting like the president controls the economy is just silly.

  2. EVERY receipt I have for Home Depot and Lowes I deduct. I couldn’t believe how much I spent last year. Outside of taxes, insurance, and mortgage, last year I spent 21,000 dollars for utilities and maintenance. Admittedly, last year was nuts (roof problem, electrical work, new water header, new stoop, tree trimming, redecorating one tenant’s apartment, etc.etc.). But every receipt for that place was declared on my taxes.

  3. Blaming the president for the performance of the economy is ridiculous. The president is in charge of the executive branch (kind of). He isn’t in charge of the economy.

    For an example of an ecomony controlled by the government, see North Korea, the Soviet Union, or Cuba.
